The MTL Program

MTL Fellows

The Connecticut Noyce Math Teacher Leaders Program is a 5-year program comprising a variety of activities to build capacity for math teacher leadership among the cohort of 20 veteran Alliance district secondary math teachers. Given its goals, and focus on Alliance districts, we have the opportunity to adjust programming in ways that are responsive and supportive for the local context. The plans provide the structure and an overview.

Programming Overview:

  • Spring 2022 — TEAM Workshops and Math Leadership Workshops
  • Summer 2022 — Two Graduate Courses (Equitable Content and Equitable Pedagogy)
  • AY 2022-23 — Leadership Project: Augmenting Practices or Programming
  • Summer 2023 — Graduate course: Teacher Leadership in Math
  • AY 2023-24 — Leadership Project: Mentorship
  • Summer 2024 — Graduate Course: Equity in Math Education
  • AY 2024-25 — Leadership Project: Equity and Fall Conference
  • Summer 2025 — PLU Module Development
  • AY 2025-26 — PLU Module Piloting, Revision
  • Summer 2026 — PLU Module Complete
  • Fall 2026 — Fall Conference
